Powder spraying directly on to metal makes it very difficult to damage this plate. If a heated nozzle hits it, the metal can dissipate the heat. Powder coating gives the surface a clear, textured appearance that will be visible in printouts. The textured surface hides most of the mechanical damage caused by the tools. Only the top of the small tabs can be scratched, which will not be visible on the bottom of the model.

Never clean a PEI textured steel plate using acetone! The use of acetone will cause micro-chers in the PEI structure, which will cause the surface to degenerate over time. .

Consumable parts such as PEI boards (smooth, textured, etc.) are not covered by the warranty as they are subject to wear over time, except when a defect has occurred due to a manufacturing defect. Cosmetic damage, such as (but not limited to) scratches, dents, cracks and others, is also not covered by the warranty. Only steel plates supplied with manufacturing defects are covered by the warranty.
